Problem with fonts

Open bluebyt opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Hello, The theme was working good, but I installed some fonts and now the arrows and fonts doesn't look good anymore. (The fonts are misaligned horizontally and the right arrow look weird) Do you know how can I fix this?

Here the family fonts: font-family: "FontAwesome 5 Free Solid",Noto Sans Mono;

Waybar

Does uninstalling the fonts you installed fix the issue? The only time I can ever fix font issues is by messing around with which fonts are installed.

Did you find any font to render the arrows correctly?

I found hack as the font specified in alacritty.yml of this repo. For my system, FreeBSD 13.0, I installed hack-font, reloaded sway and the arrows appeared correctly.

I even tried it with hack-font, but this doesn't work for me.. Arrows are still displayed wrong. I am still looking for the right font. Seems to be a general problem for "fresh installs".
