adhesive.dll error
What happened?
Hello, today I downloaded FiveM to play in my friends server. FiveM downloaded extra data, it was launching, until an error occured. I'll copy down the error message: Could not load component adhesive.dll - Windows error code 1114. A dynamic link library (DLL) initaliazation routine failed. I have tried reinstalling FiveM, verifying game integrity files, checking internet for tips and for now, nothing worked, the same error occurs. I should add, that my windows isn't up to date lately, but my Windows update system isn't working perfectly at all, but I don't think it is necessary tho.
Expected result
It should've launched with no errors.
Reproduction steps
- I downloaded FiveM.
- I launched it, leaded it to my GTAV.exe.
- FiveM started downloading extra ≈ 490 mb because of old data (I had FiveM before, but i uninstalled it, that seems weird to me tho)
- Downloading finished, it gave me the old windows warning.
- After the warning, the FiveM started launching.
- After 5-6 seconds, the adhesive.dll error occured.

It is in fact very necessary.
I would highly advise running a full repair-install of Windows if Windows Update isn't working for you, alongside a full malware scan thereafter after running through Windows Updates, you can look up a guide for it. If you're below 1703, it's far too outdated.
You've got tech issues that are far more pertinent than launching the client.
Thanks, I did not think that was really necessary, since for the last time I've played FiveM, I had no issues whatsoever, even if I got the message for old OS. I'll try the tips and close the issue if it fixes, if not, I'll write, maybe someone will know how to fix it.
Given it's claiming you have windows build that is older than one of 6 years old, I don't expect much in terms of anything working properly anyways.
What windows version do you have installed anyways?
If your options fail, you may reset windows via installation media, which I'd recommend either way.
