Reminder notifications not showing on Android 12

Since installing Android 12 beta 1, I have started to miss medication reminders from Calendula. I know of at least one example where I missed it entirely, but usually they are just delayed. Opening Calendula manually causes the notification to be shown immediately.

I suspect this is due to changes in Android 12 that require an additional permission for exact alarms.

I have tried disabling battery optimization, but that had no effect. Unfortunately this severely limits the usefulness of the app. Hopefully the fix is as simple as requesting the new permission.

Dully noted! We will include a fix for Android 12 before the official release date. Thanks for the report!

I'm on Android 11 and am also not seeing medicine reminders until I open the app. So this may effect many other users.

Android 12 seems to have not been fixed or have a regression. App is only waken when phone is awake, despite being allowed to ignore battery restrictions.

As my schedules are routine I set a Clock Alarm for shortly before the Calendula alarm, which is a kludge, but does seem to make sure I see the alerts.
