Support for SCTP on ASTF

Firstly, thank you for open sourcing the project. Very helpful for experimentation and research!

I have reviewed the documentation and the forum, and it seems ASTF only supports UDP and TCP. Can we also have support for SCTP? The goal is to generate NGAP traffic for load testing 5G signalling. Trex supports GTP-U which is great, support for NGAP or SCTP in general would be further appreciated!!

Whilst on that, is there any documentation or tutorial on how to extend Trex to support a new protocol?

@tariromukute our team is not planning to support it. If you willing to contribute it I will accept the code

Hi @hhaim, noted with thanks. I will go through the codebase to see if I am able to contribute. Any helpful pointers to how I can get started with adding support for a new protocol?
