Feature Request: Multi Core Usage

Open beaglebites opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

I'm noticing that this build seems to use, or primarily use, 2 cores / 4 threads across my home server, laptop, and desktop. Any chance a future build could tap into more? Thanks!

QImage save is mostly the slow part, I have WIP image export that is much faster than the current solution, but is still limited to few threads. will open PR soon.

Sounds interesting, any chance to use this WIP image export version of Trdrop myself?

@aj752 @beaglebites Based on #109 Build: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y7dsUVbCKIXFUmFJfUnUX5FybF4_saFR/ Use export as overlay and disable the preview for fastest export times TIFF is fastest from my testing and I don't think BMP supports transparency which is not included here.

You're awesome, thank you so much for sharing! Tested right away, about 50% faster - super well done! Kudos!
