Consider moving script functionality to w3ts

Currently when using this template and there are updates to it, it is quite an headache to get the new upstream changes into one's own repo. If most of the code instead reside in w3ts, and any required changes happened there, updating would simply be to upgrade the w3ts package.

The primary purpose of w3ts is to provide an API so I don't really think it's a good idea to mix project configuration / setup into w3ts.

Yeah that is true, perhaps another repo for that specific functionality so that it is easier to keep up with upstream changes?
