Option to disable typing notifications

Describe the problem

Every time I start typing on a federated room (matrix.org) from my homeserver, its CPU freaks out and goes to 100% until some moments after I stopped typing.

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like to have an option to disable sending notifications altogether.

Alternatives considered

I wouldn't know, apart from going back to Element, which I don't want to do :(
