I am also experiencing this issue on Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2 on X11 using v3.2.0 of Cinny (Flatpak).

Same for me on Linux Mint 21.1 with Cinnamon 5.6.8 on X11 using Cinny 3.2.0 (Flatpak).

Seems to be a Flatpak bundling issue--building the app locally or using the AppImage both have a valid tray icon. Either a bundling issue, or perhaps the Flatpak portal is blocking access to the icons?

I'll open an issue for this in the Flathub repo for Cinny.
