Settings changes not being saved

Hello,

I recently set up a new system. It is running Debian testing(bookworm) with gnome shell 43.1 and the latest version of the gnome shell stocks extension. I was unable to update the settings. After making the changes, they always reverted to the default. I also experienced other strange behaviour, like sometimes trying to remove a line to the list of stocks would actually add one.

I used the workaround you mentioned in #69 for now to update things manually.

If you need more info, please don't hesitate to ask. I had a quick five minutes playing with the debug mode suggested at the bottom of the github home page, but nothing particularly caught my eye there.

Kind regards,

Mark

P.S. Thank you very much for your free software work. Much appreciated!

Thanks for the report, i will test it on this distro, do you use any gnome shell themes?

It's a fairly standard Debian gnome desktop install with dark instead of normal style.

im facing a similar issue. Once saved with "minimal" ticker display variation, each time i reopen the settings its back to "tremendous". Also using Debian Bookworm dark style, no other extensions.
