Unable to Handle TG Names with non-alpha non-numeric bracket characters ( )

Open lt37fire opened this issue 5 months ago • 2 comments

Rdio-scanner will not ingest filenames that have bracket characters in the talkgroup name - it appears to have an issue with parsing and will not allow matching on the TG ID

Example: 2025-08-17_12-15-16_St. Johns County Fire Rescue_A1 Primary (Dispatch)_10000

Mask I'm using: #DATE_#TIME_#GROUP_#TGLBL_#TG

Console logs: 2025/08/17 12:25:03 dirwatch.ingest: no talkgroup, C:\ProScan\Recordings\St. Johns County Public Safety\2025-08-17_12-24-53_St. Johns County Fire Rescue_A1 Primary (Dispatch)_10000.wav

Remove the brackets in your file name. Rdio Scanner parses file names a certain way. It’s not really a problem with Rdio, your throwing an unexpected special character into the parser.

This is using the Radio Reference imported data from Sentinel, hence where the brackets were coming from. I've worked around it by eliminating the talkgroup label from the Proscan filename output and just using the TG ID to allow Rdio to ingest and match against the talkgroup definition there, where I have the name defined in the format that I want it.
