Feature Request: Talk Group "Sticky"

Open TEZMan opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Perhaps I missed the option someplace, I've been looking around for it, so if it already exists, I don't know what it's called. But it would be useful to have a Talk Group "Sticky" option. Perhaps a button (or config option) in addition to HOLD TG such as STICKY TG. Where it will "Hold" a talk group for either a configured or selectable amount of time (e.g., 2500ms), queueing up calls behind it. After which it will continue on to the next TG, and so on until the Q is completed.

For instance, in our area, one system is a simulcast system. Many calls can come in at the same time, from different talk groups. Without the "Sticky" option, it can be the PD one second, switch to FD the next, back to PD, then maybe the EMS, back to FD, to PD, maybe PD again, etc. With "Sticky" it would receive PD, FD would queue behind it, if another message is received for TG PD within the timeout, it plays that (e.g., a back and forth). Once the timeout elapses, it would move on to FD, stick with that back and forth until timeout, then PD/EMS or however it all plays out. Making conversations or back and forth communication less confusing.

Well that could be done, pretty much like the avoid button works. But that's something I'll may add after the v7.0 will be released. Flagging this one as enhancement. Thanks for the suggestion.
