GPIO Input and Output

Hello. I tried making some search but I didn't find how to do what I'm going to ask.

I need to set RASP GPIOx output level on high during playback and GPIOy input to receive an high level. My intent is to drive a motor that should make spin a real disk during playback whit GPIOx and receive coin acceptor signal on GPIOy.

Is that possible and how to?
