I was able to use the trackpoint by using this modified VoodooPS2Controller.kext: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285678-lenovo-thinkpad-t420-with-uefi-only/page-94#entry2162721

Occasionally, I still have problems with it not working after reboot, even though they claimed they fixed it.
