Highlighting of multiple lines

When I do something like visual -> 5 -> down/k in Helix it will highlight 5 lines below. But when I do the same in Jetbrains IDEA it just jumps 5 lines without highlighting. Do you think it's something achievable?

I never looked into it, because it's not something I use. It sounds achievable, but will be some work because the visual mode emulation is a little complex.
