Joined implementation with ocLazyLoad

Open ocombe opened this issue 11 years ago • 5 comments

Hi, I'm the dev behind ocLazyLoad (Load modules on demand (lazy load) in AngularJS). People often use my lib with ui-router, and I think that it would be awesome to have something more integrated than just using resolve. Would you be interested in doing an implementation or a joined work on this ?

Yes I'm interested. There are a few things in motion at the moment, however, including a major overhaul of core ui-router to address some architectural flaws. After that release I want to improve the core library's hooks for lazy loaded routes. I would like to hear your ideas about how you a router and ocLazyload could be better integrated.

Yes I heard about this overhaul. I'll be really busy next week (ng-europe) and the week after (I give a presentation about angular 2.0), but I'll try to come back to you by the end of October with ideas.

The hooks for lazy loaded routes are about future states ?

Any updates on this? I'd be really interested to see where this goes.

Well not really. I didn't have a lot of time to do it before, and then the google team announced the backport of the ng2 router to 1.x and I told myself that I would wait January to see if this router would be the ui-router killer that it seemed. But now it looks like this new router won't be out anytime soon and that I should probably work on this feature, but I don't have a lot of free time until mid-february (new job + I need to work on my conference for ng-nl). If you want to start working on it don't hesitate, otherwise it will have to wait :)
