I have a hunch that `npm install` is doing something funky sometimes, and that `npm ci` is necessary if you're upgrading Oasis from source. I've only ever seen this error...

I don't think that error is related to this problem. @davegomez is it just Oasis running or is Patchwork running too? If you go to settings who does it say...

Can you run `ssb messagesByType ` for one of the accounts you're having this problem with? That message should appear when you don't have posts from that person.

Hmm, does the pure ssb-tunnel provide rooms, or is it just a socket? I suppose maybe this should be put another way: is it possible for conventional pubs to replicate...
