Column Resize doesnt work with many columns

I have about 30 columns that scroll off the browser. I can use the scroll bar to see the other columns.

Resizer doesnt resize the columns or let me set a fixed starting width.

If I cut back the columns so they fit on the browser then it works great.

Any ideas what I need to change?
