Recent releases don't run on Edgerouter

If I try to run any version 0.22.0 or later, I get this error

/config/dote_mips: /lib/mips-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.28' not found (required by /config/dote_mips)

This is running on an Ubiquiti Edgerouter Lite v2.0.9-hotfix.5
