Distinguish between 4-inch and 3.5-inch iPhone, using screen variants?

There aren't any built-in Ren'Py variant keys that would distinguish between two different sizes of phone:

One possibility is to introduce our own custom keywords.

Another possibility is to look into whether the game code can query the physical screen size through Ren'Py. It would need to happen early enough in startup that the very first screen displayed by Ren'Py is of the correct size.
