Cutting in Dialogue removes dynamic elements

Open gmarty opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug Cutting (e.g. Cmd+X) part of the content of a dialogue removes the dynamic elements (variables, fonts, text speed...).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Add a new event and select Display Dialogue
  2. Type some text that includes dynamic elements (e.g. !1, !f, !$Local 1...)
  3. Select any part of the text
  4. Cut (using Cmd+X on Mac or equivalent on Windows)
  5. See that the non textual elements got removed.

Expected behavior Non textual elements should remain dynamic.

Platform (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS 14.2.1
  • App version: 3.2.0-rc.1 (But older versions are affected too)

Additional context Copy and paste both work as expected. Only cut triggers this issue.

I'm not someone who can help you with this, but maybe it would help if you included screenshots so that the development team can understand your issue better.
