Feature Request: `:SudoWrite` and `:SudoRead` alternatives

Open savchenko opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

Feature Requested

Genghis might have had many children, but eunuchs were allowed to attend places closed even to the ruler himself.

vim-eunuch implements :SudoWrite and :SudoRead for a reason.

Until this gets resolved, one might consider using suda.vim for the time being.

@chrisgrieser , I will desecrate one of the Mills books with NeoVim sticker if this is implemented.

Or, in case you actually like Mills, another sociologist who was clearly wrong about something. Preferably one that is already dead so there is no uncomfortable encounter in future.

I am not really familiar with the requirements for sudo(write|read) and do not really have any need for it myself, but I'll gladly accept PRs for it.

PS: I never read anything from Mills, and even if I did, I don't really care what you do to some random books? Also, it's irrelevant for this issue.

Apologies, I thought you have a background in sociology, hence the joke. Perhaps poorly phrased one.
