ImageOptim removes CSS animations from SVG files

I'm using the plugin on my site and found it removes some of the CSS animations in my SVG files there is an open thread on the Netlify community form with the info and examples. https://community.netlify.com/t/svg-css-animation-works-on-local-but-not-in-netlify/23143/5

Yep, noticing this as well. Is there any way to configure the options for this netlify plugin to exclude svg files as a workaround?

I think this plugin also emptied my SVG sprite file (which end up being displayed as an empty <svg> element). Let me know if you want more details than this and I’ll investigate it better.
