autosave prevents un-do
The autosave plugin often prevents me from going back through un-do. Un-do works again in these files as soon as I disable the plugin.
what exactly does not work? Please be specific. How do you undo? What exactly happens when you use u to undo? Do you see an error message? What about g+/g- or the :earlier/:later commands?
Also please provide more information: System, vim version, etc.
Please be specific.
I'll do my best!
what exactly does not work?
Pressing u does not undo.
What exactly happens when you use
uto undo?
Apparently nothing. I can hold down u without any changes happening. Is there some kind of verbose mode?
Do you see an error message?
No
What about
g+/g-or the:earlier/:latercommands?
At the moment, I can not reproduce it. It happens sometimes to often during working. I guess, these are the second best bugs.
When I could not undo a crucial edit yesterday, I switched to
augroup autosave
autocmd!
autocmd BufRead * if &filetype == "" | setlocal ft=text | endif
autocmd FileType * autocmd TextChanged,InsertLeave <buffer> if &readonly == 0 | silent write | endif
augroup END
not knowing, what the actual differences are to this plugin.
Also please provide more information: System, vim version, etc.
