This offers better performance than overflow: hidden and is more reliable for specifying the overflow-x or overflow-y.

Just waiting on Safari now– looks like it's behind a flag in the tech preview:

Coming in Safari 16 and once that happens this is good to use.

This can now be used as all major browsers support it including Safari 16.
