Implement ErsatzTV style 'filler kinds'
ErsatzTV filler 'kinds' are nice and fairly difficult to replicate in old dizqueTV. The following types are supported (pulled from ErsatzTV website):
Pre-roll: filler that plays before each media item Mid-roll: filler that plays between chapters within each media item Post-roll: filler that plays after each media item Tail: filler that plays after all media items/filler and before the next schedule item Fallback: filler that is looped and cut as needed to fill any remaining gaps
Another filler type could be a "bookend" filler. Instead of being bound to media, this filler is bound to other filler. i.e. bumpers that play before the start of and at the end of a "commercial break".
Would be cool if there was a way to tag filler, and add filler by said tag. Tags such as: kid-friendly, adult, and genre specific. That way you can exclude filler that doesn’t fit the target audience.
If I may add an additional enhancement over ETV to this, a more advanced "mid-roll" filler would be nice. ETV will put filler between all chapters present in a file, but there may be more (or I guess even less) chapters than places where there should be breaks. For instance I have a series with chapters laid out such as follows:
00:00:00.000: en:Prologue
00:01:50.027: en:Opening
00:03:19.991: en:Part A
00:10:44.102: en:Part B
00:22:26.136: en:Ending
00:23:56.060: en:Preview
however this show should only have breaks in three places, between opening song and part a, between part a and part b, and between part b and ending song. ETV's mid-roll filler would add two additional filler spots to this, meaning for instance you'd get a filler break, the theme song for the show would play, and then you'd go right into another filler break. ETV's only solution to this is to edit the chapters within the file, which not everyone is willing/able to mass edit their media libraries for something like this.
