Unable to change database password

[6XGate]

On Ubuntu 22.04LTS, the following error is produced when attempting to change the database password.

OpenSSL error (pki_evp.cpp:691) : error:1D8C0102:ENCODER routines::passed a null parameter

This database has a legacy database key in it.
