[Bug] Cannot access SD-Card on LineageOS (Android 10)

Bug Summary

App only shows internal memory; In Settings, Path Filter is set to "include" and I add a path on the external SD-Card, but it won't detect any music there, nor can I browse folders there. "Folders" tab shows "loading..." only, and "Files" tab shows only internal memory

For comparison, on another phone with Android12, it works with the external SD-Card way without issues.

Try to use legacy variant to bypass Scoped Storage on Android 10.

Tried 1.8.3 Legacy, no change in behaviour on that LineageOS / A10 device, sorry. To be sure, I totally uninstalled the previous version, then installed the legacy one. It allows me to add the SD card path, asks for permissions (manually checked them additionally in the system settings / app settings), asks to confirm I want that path added, then shows the path as the only one included, but finds no music. Browsing the "Folder" tab it says "loading" , going to the files tab it keeps showing "internal memory > music" (and no files / songs below, as there are no music files in that place on that device due to limited memory).

Other ideas? Bug, LineageOS specific , or me being stupid? [edit: typos corrected only]
