[Feature Request] Gif support for album art
This feature is something I've never seen in any music player, basically have animations instead of a static image. It's unlikely that music files can't playback embedded GIFs etc, so the best way to approach this would probably be to have a folder that contains all the album art GIFs, and they match the title of the songs. Then the software is able to load the two corresponding files together in the music player's UI.
Poweramp music player has the ability to store local images in folders instead of embedding, but they don't have animation/gif support. Only static.
Actually, I am wondering its meaning or purpose of this feature. Or what this feature is really used for?
And, though you can store it in folders instead of embedding, there are still some rooms for considering embedding them in files, which means you have to handle compatibility of audio file format.
This feature would not be implemented recently, at least since there are more urgent bugs to be fixed, more useful, meaningful and bright features to be implemented.
