Fix documentation building issue in RTD

We inadvertently generated an issue with the documentation build by merging PR #1022. I think it might be related to using asterisks and double hyphens here.

It appears to be related to the new release of sphinx 5.0.0 rather than something that changed in our docstrings. More info https://readthedocs.org/projects/perses/builds/?page=2
