Apply Best Practices and Standards

The code should be refactored to follow PowerShell best practice and standards:

• $null on the left of a statement
• .LINK should have separate entries
• Remove aliases
• etc.

We also need to provide standards around indentation, bracing etc. to allow contributors to easily work with the project standards.
