unable to run checm2 -h or download Diamond db, error in np.object

Good afternoon, tried installing both through conda, and later just cloning the git, both times following the readme. In both instances the problem seems to be the np.object being deprecated in version 1.20.0 of numpy, which is strange, given the installed version is indeed 1.19.2, as supposed. Any ideas why this is happening?

Downgrade numpy to 1.20.3
