Windows. Anything. A sidelong glance even? You wouldn't leave us homeless if it came to it? You care but you know this really amazing linux chap?

I don't know the win32 api. Does windows have anything like a tty subsystem? Even if it did, I don't think the windows console is a terminal emulator, so a vt100-based emulator wouldn't work with windows programs. The windows version would probably have to start from scratch. I think it would be cool, but I wouldn't even know where to start.

No windows has basically no useful paralleled in terms of the tty and whatnot. In fact, systems in mingw that wish to try and do that are met with complete failure if they try to bridge the gap. It's like speaking French to an Alien who speaks inverse drum tribute. He hears the drum, and the poor french, and wonders why you are so dumb.

That said, cmd.exe does in fact speak something similar to VT100.

Any further discussion about this? Would it be easy / difficult / impossible to have this sit on top of cmd.exe or a MinGW terminal?

If that's true, I would love to implement support for it. I just don't know enough about the win32 api. If anyone is well-versed in the win32 api, pull requests are always welcome.
