Proposal: nanoid instead of uuid

Currently ID primary index has restriction to be long form of uuidv4, would it be possible to save objects with custom primary ID i.e. nanoid()? Then it would be more URL-friendly "/product/V1StGXR8_Z5jdHi6B-myT"
