I'm glad to fix the issue (and thanks for reporting), but I think making auto-generated docs just for these portions right now is too much to ask.
Agreed on all accounts. In this specific instance, neither we nor, as it would seem, many of the creators of that code were aware it behaved in such a manner....
Until Artifact Hub is a little more flexible (see discussion [here](https://github.com/artifacthub/hub/discussions/2968)), we probably won't be replacing what we [currently have](https://kyverno.io/policies/).
Closing as not planned at this time until future improvements to Artifact Hub make this a tenable approach.

Clone the website repo, build `render`, then run it with the `-c` flag pointed to the directory with the policies. It does not remove the directories inside the policies folder.
