Having it entirely pinned to MySQL? Why? That's as bad as Wordpress, and for exactly the same reason.

For the version 1 its not restricted to MySQL. You can also use SQL lite. It should work fine. However, version 2 (paid version) is restricted by MySQL. I know its bad. And we are testing on other database other than MySQL to extend the functionality.
