Blank? Help

I run Buzz with the Whisper.cpp. It will finish but nothing happens. No srt file. I have tried numerous different formats and nothing happens. It will run for around 10 minutes and finish. But nothing happens. No download of a srt file. What am I doing wrong? I used to run the older version with no problem. Could find the srt where I downloaded it to. But with this new version 0.7.0 I get nothing.

Hi, yes. The UI on the new version is just a little different. Double-click on the row that says completed, and it should open the transcript, and you should be able to export. (You can also click on the row, and click the Open Transcript icon.)

whisper.cpp models produce empty results for me as well

I'm on an Apple Silicon computer and I'm having the same trouble. If I use Whisper.cpp, the conversion goes directly to the "Completed" state and the transcription is empty. Using a Whisper model works properly.

I'm a programmer, so if there's some troubleshooting I can do from my end, please let me know.

Got it. It's a known issue (see https://github.com/chidiwilliams/buzz/issues/323), and I've been working on a fix for a few days (https://github.com/chidiwilliams/buzz/pull/331). The challenge is that GitHub's runners are Intel-only, but I should have a fix out soon.

I will redownload it. I got frustrated and took it out. I am using a HP Slim Desktop PC

Speaking of crashing... I did notice it crashed on "Very Large"

I put it back in and ran the whisper.cpp. it still doing the exact same thing. Says complete but double click on completed and it is blank. Nothing to export. :(

I can confirm: on my M2 system, too, whisper.cpp models only produce empty transcriptions.
