team_count and team_name required fields

Almost every module has team_name and team_count attributes set as required yet these attributes/fields do not exist in any except for some teams modules and are not required to be set when using the SugarCRM API directly. It seems to me that setting them for any other modules is pointless as it makes no difference whatsoever.

Is there a good way to remove these fields form the list of required attributes in SugarCRM or the Gem itself ?
