QR code in same page

It would be nice if user can see the QR code in same page and not in the new page where you are redirecting.

Agree. Since the QR codes are mostly one-time use and don't take much place to display, it seems more reasonable to show them in a popup. It's also for the consistency with other chrome extensions.
