My contribution to BCR: a companion app to manage recordings

@chenxiaolong: this is to show my appreciation to your work on BCR. It's the only app (I know) that works perfectly on Android 10+ and gives perfect call recording of both call sides... and it's also open-source (that's great!).

But... to manage recordings we actually need a file manager + an external audio player. That's not so user-friendly: it's hard to "visually extract" call informations from audio filenames, and its even harder to search them when the list grows 😉.

A similar feature was already requested, but you answered that BCR should be as Basic as possible... and I do agree with you! 👍 Call recording on Android is a hard work, and I'd like (and hope) you to stay focused on it.

Then you added .json metadata files feature... and I wrote a companion app for BCR called BCR-GUI.

Since BCR-GUI is completely dependant from BCR, I'd like to hear from you:

• the name BCR-GUI was my first thought, do you like it? do you like it contains/extends "BCR" in its name or do you prefer it to be more "unrelated"?
• I've also "copied" BCR icon, replacing the phone with a log... what about it?

The app is still in development, so any suggestion is appreciated (from everyone):

• appearance/theme/colors
• features
• bugs

And feel free to "promote" it as you like. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Feel free to pick whatever name you like, even if it contains BCR. I don't mind.

• make scrolling like is in the whole system (this kynetic scrolling in gui is like on symbian phones :D ...)
• material design?
