Invalid prior template

Hi,

I got the following error: "Unable to parse the prior template. Please check the syntax." while using LonGP_UI with the provided prior.template.txt. Could you please look into this? Thanks!

P.S. I'm running on MATLAB R2019a with macOS 10.15.7.

Hi YuHsiangLo,

The GUI seems working on my laptop. I am using Mac 10.15.7 and Matlab 2019a. Maybe you want to

  1. cd LonGP
  2. start the GUI and check if it works

It will be great if you could provide some screenshots.

Cheers, Lu

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The error occurred when I attempted to set files in step 1:

The prior template I used is prior.template.txt provided in the /conf folder.

Cheers!

Hi,

Could you upload the step by step figures? There seems to be no problems in my computer. I started the LonGP_GUI in the directory "GPstuff-4.7/LonGP".

Alternatively you could check the "./conf/input.para.txt" and copy it to your output directory, then change the parameters accordingly.

Hi,

The followings are what I did:

  1. I installed the GUI using the LonGP_UI.mlappinstall script in the MatlabGUI_installer folder.
  2. Ran the LonGP_UI from the APPS tab while in the LonGP folder. Screen Shot 2021-03-25 at 00 51 00
  3. My file setting was essentially the same as yours. Screen Shot 2021-03-25 at 00 53 59
  4. When I clicked on "Process files", I got the error above.

Hi,

I am sorry I have no clue why this will happen. Could you upload "./conf/prior.template.txt" file?

Maybe you could consider edit the "input.para.txt" directly? The GUI is meant to create the input.para.txt file. If you unzip the "ExpectedOutput.zip" file, you will find the expected "input.para.txt" file. Also, you could find the parameter explanations in "./conf/input.para.txt".

Cheers, Lu
