I use grub4dos start myself os (sylixos), can right start (if hard disk is a don't have other operate system (etc. linux)), but if i have installed linux os (ubuntu) , i format this hard disk to install myself os (sylixos), boot will print (Try (hd0,0): EXT2) error.

i find hard disk 2050 sector has some data, if i clear these data, myself os can right boot.

thanks.

flagssss avatar Jun 19 '17 01:06 flagssss

Can you try latest version - replace /grldr with new version.

steve6375 avatar Jun 19 '17 06:06 steve6375

title SylixOS(NORMAL) kernel /bspx86.elf hz=1000 hhz=1000 console=/dev/ttyS0 kdlog=no kderror=yes kfpu=no heapchk=yes utc=no video=uvesafb:ywrap,mtrr:3,640x480-32@60

flagssss avatar Jun 19 '17 11:06 flagssss

So grldr 2016-04-04 > no boot to menu - BAD 2017-06-18 > boot to menu OK ?? So does new grldr now boot to the menu?

steve6375 avatar Jun 19 '17 11:06 steve6375

Please copy the 3Mb bytes from disk before uploading to the bin file.

I have try the latest version (2017-06-18 ), boot is failed, follow picture. (I have installed ubuntu system to USB device, and it can normal boot to ubuntu. I format this USB (2050 sector has some data), to install myself system (bspx86.elf))

655676405

this picture is my boot files, grldr is the latest version. grldr_files

this command is my create USB boot parameters ./bootlace.com --mbr-no-bpb --no-backup-mbr --mbr-disable-floppy --mbr-disable-osbr --boot-prevmbr-last /dev/sdb

flagssss avatar Jun 23 '17 05:06 flagssss

I find Windows format tools which will erase 2050 sector data to 0x0, so if use the window s format tools to format my USB device, and reinstall myself OS, to boot will normal boot.
