Manual peak picking does not work by shift + click if click is slow

manual peak picking by shift + tap (only touch) the trackpad. It works as expected:

manual peak picking by shift + click by press the trackpad. It does not work as expected:

seems the time to press the trackpad is too short.

It's unrelated to using a MacBook or a trackpad. I can reproduce with a normal mouse.
