Add standard emojis on desktop
The emoji dialog on the compose pane on Phanpy only features the custom emojis from the current instance, not the "standard" ones. When using Phanpy on desktop, the emojis provided by the Android keyboard aren't available, so I have to cut/paste them from another source, that's uncomfortable. Please, include a standard set of emojis besides the custom ones. Many thanks
@brihuega which desktop OS are you using? For newer OS'es, there are ways to input "standard" emojis now (you'll need to google/search it) which will work in all sites and apps, not just Phanpy.
I use Windows 10 and Lubuntu/LXQt desktop. None of them have a standard easy way to insert emojis. Should I use third party tools? Thanks
@brihuega I think Windows 10 has the Windows logo key + . (period) shortcut (depends on your keyboard, or you could remap the shortcut) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-keyboard-tips-and-tricks-588e0b72-0fff-6d3f-aeee-6e5116097942#ID0EBD=Windows_10
Not really sure about Lubuntu/LXQt.
I personally use a 3rd-party app (on macOS).
I didn't know about the windows shortkey, it's good. In Lubuntu I think I should install some app for this purpose. Thanks for your kind response. Regards

THANK YOU for the shortcut advice. That's going to make more than just the Phanpy UI better for me!
For people using Linux with or without rofi, https://github.com/fdw/rofimoji is a very good alternative.
I think it would be great to show normal emojis in phanpy... I am on mac and while there may be some secret mac shortcuts to show emojis unrelated to phanpy, secret shortcuts are not very user friendly (the answers to this thread all seem super involved and not meant for a regular user)
For Linux there is another option: Emote. But in-app dialog would be better.
