Workspace configuration option for "Exclude from checking..."

Would it be possible to allow a configuration for the "Exclude from checking..." settings on the workspace? Currently it is only available on a per-project basis. We would like to configure it for whole workspaces.

The main checkstyle project itself allows excluding files from the scan (independent of the Eclipse Checkstyle plugin). Just configure the BeforeExecutionExclusionFileFilter.
