If your device fails to enter dfu mode then you might need to time it better. Try getting to holding the power and home button as soon as you press start.

I am currently using a USB-C to USB-A 3.0 HUB and have tried using several USB-A to Lightning cables but it still doesn't work. Any solution?

I still have the same problem,

I have my doubts, it can be a battery problem, have you tested that the battery of your iPhone 6 is in good condition? But I really do not understand why the iPhone 6 does not enter DFU mode :C

Same issue, can't enter DFU mode, I've tested this on more the 30 phones (iphone 6,6s,7,8,ipad 5) (IOS: 12,4,5 for iphone 6) , I'm a dev and I can maybe fix the issue if you give me access to the source code!

Note that i'm able to put the phone on DFU mode without having checkra on, but when following the steps when checkra is open it doesn't enter.

Note: Iphone X works fine

I found the solution: use a usb A cable not usb-c: https://github.com/checkra1n/BugTracker/issues/133

I'm using Mac M1 I only have USB-C what I'm supposed to do ?

Sicks3c avatar Oct 29 '22 13:10 Sicks3c

Use an adapter of some kind for a type-A cable, apparently it's the only way.

FedeMont avatar Oct 29 '22 13:10 FedeMont

@FedeMont What ever cable you use for the Iphone Cable it ended being USB-C in the Mac since all ports are USB-c

Sicks3c avatar Oct 29 '22 13:10 Sicks3c

Strangely it doesn’t matter, what’s matter is the cable itself. I had the same problem restoring my iPad Air 3 the other day with the type-C cable and my MacBook Pro (which has only type-c ports), using the type-A cable with an adapter resolved the issue.

I had this issue and what fixed it for me was holding down the volume buttons along with the home button (I saw it in a helpful video) in case anyone else has this issue
