'Right before trigger' hang CLI and GUI after many attempts

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone 7 (iPhone9,3 (A1778))

  2. On what version of iOS is it? 15.7.2

  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12.4

  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Kali Linux also on Checkn1x

  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? Lightning to USB-A, Apple, Direct connection

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. checkra1n -c also tried checkra1n -c -s -v -V
  2. Put my phone in DFU
  3. Hangs at Right before trigger (this is the real bug setup)

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? Expected to jailbreak the device, hanging at Right before trigger (this is the real bug setup) instead

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? No

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? Yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? I also tried with GUI but no further progress was made

Ill continue doing digging on the issue to see if anyone else has solved this, ill keep this updated. Ah also forgot to mention but when I saw the hang I tried disconnecting the cable and reconnecting based on a video I saw and that didn't effect anything.

checkra1n only supports up to ios14

I had experimental versions on and it did find it and warn me about that

I'm having same issue but with an iphone 8 plus ios 16 on a windows but obviously boot checkra1n off flash drive, using checkra1n 0.12.4 every time I start it, it stops 2/3's of the way through. i would appriate it so much if i could get a bit of advise. trying to jailbreak iphone 14 but checkra1n doesn't even notice it when plugged up

can't you read?

checkra1n only supports up to ios14
