Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We do http monitoring but we have some api's that are not http but are at tcp level. Having monitoring for tcp connections basic check on URL and any Port is great. Can integrate tls as well.

Describe the solution you'd like as part of addition of api checks, we can add tcp as an option in the drop down.

Describe alternatives you've considered using datadog right now .

@nanibez24 thanks for bringing this up! I labeled it and we can use this as a tracking ticket if we start planning things in this direction.

any update on this feature request? We have to look at other providers if checkly cant provide this as this is very basic and we have to maintain two vendors to check http and tcp endpoints. thank you.

Added a thumbs up. Use case: monitor availability of mail server on port 587, i.e. not just ping but expecting a certain response back.

Hello just pinging to check on the status of this, we missed out on some monitoring because of this check not being available. Will be good to have this prioritized. Thank you. I see a few other users asking for this as well. Just have an option ping in the drop down , shouldnt be that difficult from what I can tell :). Thank you.
