As mentioned, I am already using a dark UI theme. The white background is presented by the application window before the UI has time to load.
Even if technically my instance of qBittorrent is in "light mode", it would be much better to make that background black for light mode, because the whole area gets overdrawn...

I can't test because my new pc is a ryzen 9950x3d and the torrent list is way shorter. So even if there's a flashbang it's so short I wouldn't see...

I think the potential for overshoot can be minimized by hand tuning the spinup PWM. the benefit is acoustical. no spinup whine. in general, people find fast changes in pitch...
