@cindyloo Unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce this consistently in our [reference app](https://github.com/twilio/twilio-video-app-react). Can you please enable debug and provide the whole browser log?

The code change looks safe but we should understand why this is happening before merging the PR. I don't understand why the element would be null in this function because...

This is a webrtc issue on chrome https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1263548 We'll see if we can find a workaround while waiting for a fix.
