[BUG] Disabling 'show tabs menu' doesn't work fully

When 'show tabs menu' is disabled, at first the 'Tabs Menu' item for the current group does not appear, but when the 'Tab Groups' menu is accessed 'Tabs Menu' jumps back into the menu and remains there even though it is turned off.

i have noticed this also, and would be good if we could switch it off, i just prefer the toolbar button. Also when you have multiple windows, there is menubar menus, there should one be one for the front active window really http://cl.ly/RaHL

If what you want is just a button showing the tab groups, maybe this addon can fit you better.
